Getting excited for the weekend: Tips for a relaxing and recharging weekend

Just because the weekend is near doesn't mean that you must have amazing plans to enjoy yourself.
What about taking this weekend to relax and recharge your batteries. Sometimes a good rest and some self care can work wonders on your mood. Get curious this weekend about what works for you. Here are some tips which we think are helpful....

Make yourself an enjoyable and nourishing breakfast. Skipping breakfast is not a good idea.
Breakfast kick starts your metabolism and wakes your mind. It's very hard to think clearly on an empty stomach. How about trying something different for breakfast today. Whatever you chose to make, enjoy making it and use your senses as you prepare the food. How does the food smell? How does it feel? How does it look?

Put on some calming music and have a bath.  We leave very little time these days for something
as simple as a bath, choosing to jump in the shower instead and get washed as quickly as possible. Having a bath is not so much about cleaning yourself a it is relaxing and soothing. Close your eyes and feel the warm water soothing your muscles and calming your mind.

How about a good book instead of the television? It's very easy to choose turning on the TV as a
means of putting your feet up and relaxing. Maybe try reading a book this weekend as a way of relaxing. Reading a good book is a good way of calming the Mind and tapping into your beautiful imagination. Remember that what you visualise from reading each chapter will never be the same as what somebody else imagines because we have unique minds and thought patterns.

Go for a gentle walk. Being out in the fresh air and gently walking is a great way to re-energise and to connect with nature. Observe all of the beauty around you-the trees blowing in the wind, the colours of all of the flowers, can you sell anything? Maybe the smell of cut grass?

Take a short nap. Napping for just 10 minutes can boost energy and leave you feeling relaxed and recharged.

At night, look at the stars. Looking at the stars is a very relaxing way to prepare yourself for a good nights sleep. Being outside in the open air looking into the twinkling sky is a great way to connect with the world. Who else is looking up at the same star that night?
